If you've ever taken pictures of children, you know that it can be challenging.  They won't look where you want them to, the won't smile when you want them to, they walk away.  It can be a nightmare.  I've found that interacting with them and photographing them being their natural selves can yield the best family photos.  You get something genuine and relateable.
